In 1999, the old state-owned company was privatised and Alba Aluminiu was born. A long process of reconstruction of the old facilities has begun and the company became one of the main suppliers of aluminium pastes and powders for light-weight concrete in Romania and Eastern Europe. In 2001 the production of aluminium pigments has started. During the years, the company’s market share increased. Over the years, a pigment paste division was developed, which has now become the principal part of the business.
